I would not let a shop do it personally. I’ve figured it out. It can be done without removing the front seats. You definitely have to muscle it out and back in though.

Interesting. I never use the switch but I think mine has a delay also. It's had the delay since day 1 of my ownership 15 years ago

I hate to point out that a Chinese Grainger spring may not be the best thing to do on a primary flight control. This definitely doesn't pass the legality test even if it's the exact same part.

Good choice. I have always thought the steam gage airplanes to be superior to the G1000 airplanes. They are far lighter with a better CG. The KAP-140 is a downside but it still does the job.
