Re: Power Flow

Hello, I am the DA40 owner with the individual STC recognition from the EASA, based on the FAA STC. At the same time I had also added the electroair ignition. With bad CHT results at cylinder 4 (440F at climb 415 in cruise). The split between 3 and 4 was between 40-50F in cruise and 60F in climb. No...

Re: ForcedAeroMotive: SuperCharged DA40

Hello,
is FAT also planning to have STC recognized in Europe (EASA)? I know there is an EASA STC for the Compressor Kit for the Cirrus SR22.
There was also a smal article in the german Magazine "Aerokurier" about the FAT Compressor DA40-180.

Greetings
Oliver

Re: Arizona Baffle kit versus Standard Baffle kit

Hello, I watched my buffles over the weekend. I think that I have installed the Arizona Buffles. Thank you for your help and thank you also for the drawing. This helped me a lot. I found a plaque on my right air intake that points to the Arizone kit. Also, the diameter of the air inlet is rather lar...

Re: Arizona Baffle kit versus Standard Baffle kit

Does anyone have the drawing for the Arizona Buffle kit? I believe that in my plane an air guide to the inner hole to cylinder 1 is missing. With a drawing or a good picture, I can easily check this on the weekend. My plane had a crash in May 2004 as N89SE (report can be googled). Then it was repair...

Re: Arizona Baffle kit versus Standard Baffle kit

That starboard side aperture looks pretty small to me. The AZ baffle (with an enlarged aperture) replaced the section of baffle on that side with a different one. It was a pretty easy replacement. I know that Diamond considered that an option for awhile even after its development. They would supply...

Re: Arizona Baffle kit versus Standard Baffle kit

Hi Oliver. Based on the size of the air intake hole on the copilot side in your photo, it should have the "Arizona baffle". Pre-baffle, the hole was smaller. The configuration of the carbon fiber baffle itself was also different, although I can't recall the exact changes from that long ag...

Arizona Baffle kit versus Standard Baffle kit

Hello, my DA40 has the serial number 40.322 (year 2003), so it is not standard equipped with an "Arizona baffle kit". Since I do not know if any modifications have been made on my plane in the past, I have the following question: - How do you visually recognize if you have an "Arizona...

Re: Panel Upgrade DA40-180

Hello Reinhard, due to the thinks you have written, I have installed one external Flarm antenna (underside fuselage) and with a splitter a second internal Flarm antenna on the right side of the panel). The TRX1500 have only 1 channel for Flarm and 1 for ADS-B in. For ADS-B in I have installed also a...
