Re: Interested in a Powered LEMO Adapter?

Dumb question - this adapter will work in standard jacks as well, correct? @Diamond_Dan, yes, the adapter plugs into the existing dual female jacks in your Diamond aircraft (as Rich notes, likely all or most all Diamond aircraft). Then you plug any LEMO ANR headset (Bose, Lightspeed, whatever) into...

Interested in a Powered LEMO Adapter?

** Tired of having to replace batteries in your ANR headset? ** First and foremost, kudos to @Rich for investigating the powered dual female plugs in Diamonds and the ability to create an adapter cable to use powered-LEMO headsets (and avoid having to frequently replace the ANR headset batteries). F...

Re: Moving from DA40-XLS to DA40-NG Questions

As for the vents — on my plane, I've used the duct tape trick (taping half the vent closed on the outside) which reduces the noise significantly while reducing airflow only insignificantly. I think this idea came from somewhere on this forum. I'm not sure if the same approach will work on the NG, b...

Re: Modern Avionics and the Instrument Pilot - Part 1 Lateral Navigation and the Flight Director

Video's and discussions like these are great. A flight director is a wonderful thing but then I remember having only VOR's and NDB's with an OBS and an ADF to use. Sadly my G1000/KAP140 combo does not have a flight director. Once you get used to it and don't have it, the return to raw data is work ...

Re: Flying Alaska (Part 9) - Homecoming & Debrief

@dmloftus... David, I just took a ~2 hour iPad screen recording and processed thru Handbrake... and voila, the CFR output is indeed about 7 seconds shorter than the original VFR file. And that's about the "sync delta" I was seeing.
Cool! Big thanks,
