Re: Starlink in Diamond

Indeed. I was thinking of something on the weaker side. Akin to what mobile devices already have built in. Something to help gravity hold it down

I'm still curious if the nose doors are GRFP. It'd be neat to stuff a starlink on one side and run a dedicated wire to it. Saves the clutter

Re: Starlink in Diamond

What about some metal pads stuck onto the top of the glareshield to receive the antenna. Something like this.

Discreet when you're not using it and serves as a base to put the antenna up there with magnetic feet

Re: Delta Hawk DHK180

The G1000 gridlock issue needs to come to a head. It essentially closed the door on any non-OEM STC related powerplant. Wish FAA's MOSAIC had something baked in there for that.

The only STC I know that's worked on a G1000 plane was Crosby's CD155 conversion on the 42. So much of that was alignment ...

Re: Delta Hawk DHK180

I think the reality is that g1000 airframes will need cooperation from the manufacturer (like Piper with the Seminole) or FAA reform

Non-g1000 planes are the easiest candidates but sometimes lack the options for avionics options are a bummer. e.g., no DA40 GFC500 option on the DA40s

How many non ...

Re: DA62 New Order and Y1 AOG Issue tracking workbook

Would a master AOG thread be in order?

I'd be curious to see what the common threads are. A simple ripped turbo discharge hose stung us pretty badly last year.

I think that's the point of the AOG tab in the above referenced worksheet. Thus far I am the only one who has contributed so I don't ...

Re: G1000 NXi Phase III

I'm not sure what "service instructions" are required, unless you want to install the optional Level Mode blue button hardware. The process for installing the new Phase III software should be the same as that for previous G1000 software versions:

The Garmin dealer logs into the protected dealer ...

Re: Starlink in Diamond

Yep, mobile priority works well. Buddy flew and I had a 1 hour conference call yesterday (although with a disconnect or two).

Just a follow up, shop said the service instructions for the update aren't released yet on 62s. Don't think phase 3 will make it onto the plane this shop visit.
