Re: Fuel filler cap locking tab direction?

my cap is the second one, and I was told that the reason to be directed forward is to create a small vortice to clear any puddle of water that might be deposited in the cap because of rain.

Re: DA42 BASF coolant

Any Update on which coolant can I use on the Austro engine. BASF Glysantine G48 I cannot find it in USA. And Germany would not ship it to USA. I keep asking Diamond but they keep referring me to BASF.

Re: Again ECU failure

We finally resolved the mystery. the culprit was an erratic boost pressure sensor on one of the engines. Definitely the AE300 wizard helped a lot. On both engines Austria recommend several items to check, perhaps the LH is due to the recent waste gate control rod bulleting, that was not properly adjusted. The RH failure is ...

Re: Landing Gear Microswitch Failure

Comparing the photo with one of the micros on my DA42VI, it seems to lack a tye-rap that secures the cable to the assembly. I believe that by securing it, the cable does not lever against the micro switch when in transit

Re: Door Unlocked

I had the same problem once, although it was intermittent, (not on every flight), it was resolve by adjusting the sensor (i think it is a micro switch) on the back door.
