Re: Cool seat covers?

I bought my covers from Aero Sheep.....fit well and good color selections! Very happy with them.

Re: can you increase speed to 210 KIAS for the next 2 minutes?

What kind of plane were you in, doing 184ias, Tommy?? Your profile shows a DA40???!!! Notice Tommy's reference to "Throttle, Flaps, Gear ". Tommy, I wonder if APR was having fun with the TWR using you as a dart to see if they could dodge it. BRS - I am aware it wasn't a DA40 - that's why I asked "W...

Re: alternate air in visible moisture

I never looked into the "why" part of the differences between the TDi engine (Theilert 2.0 in our case) and the Austro. I just try to operate it per the "Normal procedures" section.

Would be interesting to know the "why" though!

Re: alternate air in visible moisture

Since the question is posted in DA42 forum, I would assume OP flies DA42 :) DA42 POH specifies opening alternate air in icing conditions which means low temperatures (I would say slightly above 0C and lower) and visible moist. I encountered airframe icing anywhere from +2 to -25 degrees C. I don't ...

Re: alternate air in visible moisture

"The POH indicates......" You didn't say which plane you are flying???!!! Check the plane's AFM - Systems description section and normal/emergency procedures sections say a fair amount about ALTERNATE AIR use. All the Diamond Aircraft Flight Manuals are available online. They are also "required equi...

Re: DA-40 checkride help

Curt - Try to do "well" on the written. I understand the DPE can see your "missed answers", so expect him/her to dig into those areas in the oral!! Also, look through the FAA's "Instrument Rating – Airplane Airman Certification Standards (ACS)" document - here's the link to it if you haven't seen it...
