I like Ed. I wish he had more power.
Ed has always been a stand up guy when ever I have an issue or take my plane in for service.

Re: DA50 New Paint Scheme

I like the second place winner. I would use some of those ideas on the paint scheme for my DA62. Which would also borrow from Lindbergh-Morrow's seaplane that went north to the Orient. May be this is not the right thread but as you mentioned new DA62, check out this cool video of John Armstrong pic...

Just Discovered GTN 750

I just discovered the GTN 750....holy crow, what an amazing piece of Garmin hardware/software package. I always considered the G1000 package superior and never even gave other Garmin Nav/Com units a second glance, Seen them in many planes and thought my DA40 G1000 is the best. Little did I know. Spe...

Re: Wingtip repair

An update on my wingtip. The shop I sent it to was going to have to spend a chunk of change to acquire some of the material but they tracked down a shop, XU Aviation, near the Diamond facility in London, who specializes in these repairs. They are going to do a 3-day turn and at far less than cost o...

Re: DA40 without vs with A/C - different checkout??

My DA40 has Cabin Cool and there is no separate check out for flying it compared to a non AC equipped DA40. As Scott mentioned you are supposed to turn of the A/C for take off and landing and as I have been upgraded to the new controller unit the procedure has now changed to turning off the compress...
