I think you should take a look at the Sling TSi..Its an Experimental but looks very capable and has a good record so far. May be even an RV10?..

I can answer some of my own post now. "This rework kit is $3,550 and has a 6-8 week lead time from our vendor." Ouch, Oh well. The plane needs what it needs.
