The icing could have been on the static side. Does the 42NG have heated static ports? Did you try switching to the alternate static?

Also unfortunately, the G3X AML for the DA-40 also has an explicit limitation: (2) Excluding aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 If I take it out, is it still equipped? ;) I think the bogey man there is that "equipped with" really means" "certified with". Diamond and Garmin...

In five years of flying the 40NG and DA62, I have never seen anything when sumping the tanks or the gascolators. I actually added water to the sample vessel one time to make sure I knew what it would look like if it was in my sample. I'm usually in a hangar, and I put fuel cap covers over the filler...

I went back to my 2019 DA40NG which had the same Phase II hardware five years ago. It also had 5.15D. Nothing has changed from my DA40NG in 2019 to my DA62 in 2024.

I had an A2 and also had some hangar door "tracks" to cross. The plane could get stuck between the tracks unless I carried a lot of speed which I didn't want to do since I had about 8" clearance on each wingtip. I cut a couple of pieces of plywood to fit in between the tracks and smoo...

We have NXi phase II. I have a different GMA software load than Marlon. I'm on 5.15e vs Marlon's 5.15De I'm told 5.15De is a non-authorized config now. Very odd because I'm one Canada s/n after Marlon and I'm on 5.15D. I'm currently AOG at KVIS and I'm pretty sure I have those options. I can verify...

I asked my shop if they could load the same GMA config that Marlon has but they said it's no longer permitted and it'll throw a config error code. If it's NXi Phase II and a GMA 1360 in your 62, then it should be the same as Marlon's plane. They haven't changed anything since Phase II was delivered...
