I think two different accidents are being discussed in parallel. I'm not sure which one involves a takeoff into IMC.

My DA-62 (delivered last year) has USB-C but the power output is certainly not PD. It barely charges my ipad when it's on and connected to connext/foreflight with the screen on. Are there other similarly configured DA40-XLS airplanes at the school? This can affect scheduling and availability for your training. Once your plane goes on the flight line, it will require the equivalent of an annual inspection every 100 hours, something not required for personal use and training....

Here's an updated entry for a DA40NG. 201 kts GS at 15,000 MSL on 7.5 gph. 156 KTAS + 45 kts tailwind. Lasted for most of the flight.

I'll go out on a limb and ask if you're using the ENGINE page to make sure all temperatures are in the green. The gearbox temperature is often the last one to warm up, and it isn't visible in the "regular" engine information display. The test button won't initiate the ECU test cycle if all...
