Good point - The rental cost is $415 per hour for the aircraft. Split two ways - 207$ per hour

looking for a safety pilot - bay area - da42
Hi folks,
I rent a DA42 out of Hayward (KHWD). I am looking to reduce my rental costs and build time by flying periodically with a Multi-rated safety pilot. Anyone interested?
Thanks,
Bodi

This looks like a fake ad?
https://www.aeromarkt.net/en/aeromarkt/ ... 42-ng.html
It was linked from a trade a plane ad. I didnt know there were 2005 DA42NGs. Aopa vref didnt show DA42 NGs in that year and ofcourse the price is ridiculously low, unless someone missed a digit somewhere

Re: alternate air in visible moisture
Yeah this is for a DA42 - thanks for the replies ..
Yeah I was unable to find anything in service manuals or POH that would indicate opening alt air in visible moisture much above freezing

alternate air in visible moisture
Anyone read or know if alternate air should be used in visible moisture? The POH indicates use of alternate air only if primary induction air is blocked e.g. in icing. But my CFI quoting a well known book/source says to use alternate air in visible moisture - which makes no sense to me. Any info? Th...

da42tdi to da42ng transition
I posted earlier that I was having trouble finding an available examiner for my checkride. Looks like the situation is better in long beach with angel city flyers. However, they only have da42-ng for rent. So instead of flying a tdi down from the bay area with an instructor, I was thinking of rentin...

Re: rental insurance
Thanks for the info. Yes, subrogation is the risk. I am hoping to get favorable rates from the insurers mentioned here because they just might be more familiar with the DA42s. Fingers crossed!

rental insurance
Any companies specializing in da42 insurance. I am a renter and the place renting them out has coverage, yet insist on renters having their own insurance. Renters can be liable for the deductible, which is 3k, however, the premium quoted by AOPA is $800 per year which didnt make sense to me. In four...
