Re: Building a new DA62 - need advice with options

My partner and I are building a new plane for delivery next year. Some options are pretty straightforward, but for some others, I'd appreciate some advice. For context, I'm coming from a Cirrus G6. Center keypad - it's nice, but so expensive. For folks that have that and also FlightStream, do you e...

Re: DA62 - YouTube Trailer

AndrewM - For some reason I couldn't reply directly to your question . . . We flew a new G2 out of the Vision Jet Center in Knoxville, TN. Ease of flying the two aircraft is very similar, but different. Once you learn the systems and flight characteristics both are easy to fly! Avionics are differen...

Re: DA62 - YouTube Trailer

After flying and loving our 62 for three years, my wife and I took a demo flight in the G2 Vision Jet. I can give a quick comparison.

The DA62 is Wow!

The Vision Jet is a heck of a lot more WOW!

Re: Recommendations on where to get an annual

My DA62 is based at M54 - Lebanon, TN and our A&P has completed the Diamond DA62 training in London, Ontario. He's a great guy and runs a first rate shop. He did my annual and will do so again this summer.

Re: Looking to purchase DA62

Having owned our DA-62 for 14 months and flying it about 130 hours so far I can report zero downtime except for that due to scheduling/workload when completing the annual at my local FBO. There have been a few very minor issues that have been resolved efficiently by all including Diamond. I think on...

Re: Elevator/Pitch Trim Stickiness

Thanks for the comments. Maybe I'm overly sensitive to the stickiness. To address a few items brought up in the comments: The delivery pilot/CFI specifically showed and explained the need to clean the damper with alcohol on a regular basis. The damper has been removed and adjusted per the factory sp...

Re: Elevator/Pitch Trim Stickiness

Jeff - thank you very much for the post. I recently took delivery of C015 and have definitely noticed a stickiness as well. However, no mention of the friction device and need to frequently clean the rod was made at the factory on delivery. Could I trouble you to request you post a picture or two o...

Elevator/Pitch Trim Stickiness

I have a DA62 which is serial number C.005, one of the first out of the London, Ontario plant. I have loved the plane for bit over a year now. One of the ongoing issues that I haven't yet seen discussed on this forum is regarding stickiness in the pitch trim. I know the procedure I've been taught in...

Re: Flightstream 510

Thanks for all the info everyone! Our plane is serial number 62.C005 manufactured in the London, Ontario facility. I'm not sure if that changes any of the potential wiring/hardware modifications mentioned, but I'll certainly be watching and hoping the capability becomes a reality in the near future!
