This is normal (varying levels of dye in 100LL).

Headband sticks out much more than A20 in area just above earcup. No thanks. I prefer the A20s low profile.
They look like Micky Mouse Headband - sticking with A20s.

Electrical Gremlins are the worst . Check that your headset is set to stereo (not mono). Another thing to try is to use a stopwatch to verify how many seconds after powerup this occurs and when it goes away. If its consistently the same then it could be one of the Electrical modules coming up online...
