Re: GDL69A/Sirius Saga

So I made it back up to the airport yesterday afternoon to definitively test what was going on here. Here are my steps and findings: 1) ACTION: Changed Sirius subscription to All Access and sent refresh signal. 1) FINDING: The channel lineup shown under "All Categories" on the MFD was disp...

Re: GDL69A/Sirius Saga

Now that I have rested from all of the phone calls in trying to get this working, I think I am going to try to switch back to All Access and see if the 1000 can handle the channel count. I should be able to get around to it in the next week or so. I will report back what I find. Who knows, maybe som...

Re: GDL69A/Sirius Saga

UPDATE 2 - I changed my Sirius subscription to Sirius Select and sent a refresh signal. That did not have an effect and the G1000 still failed to show the "All Categories" view. I then did the hard reset of both the PFD and MFD as instructed by Garmin and the All Categories view did appear...

Re: GDL69A/Sirius Saga

Thanks Russ - I actually did not know that...that will come in handy in the event a full reset is required.

Re: GDL69A/Sirius Saga

UPDATE: I have made progress and it seems to mostly be a Diamond/Garmin issue with emphasis on Garmin. While the refresh signals seemed not to be working, I think they might have actually been working. When manually entering a channel the radio was indeed tuning into the channel. Once I confirmed th...

GDL69A/Sirius Saga

Hello all, I have a saga developing between Sirius, Garmin and Diamond and nobody seems to want to own up to the issue so I thought I would throw it out here. A little background: I have a 62 with G1000 NXi Phase I. When I took delivery of the plane it had the 30 day free audio through Sirius and th...

Re: Looking to purchase DA62

Linda, I am a very new owner, having pickup up 62.C015 in October. As such, I do not have a ton of data points. Here is what I have: - Waiting for delivery was borderline comical in how bad Diamond was with communication. 62.C015 was originally scheduled for May. After a string of "couple week&...

Re: Elevator/Pitch Trim Stickiness

Jeff - thank you very much for the post. I recently took delivery of C015 and have definitely noticed a stickiness as well. However, no mention of the friction device and need to frequently clean the rod was made at the factory on delivery. Could I trouble you to request you post a picture or two of...

Re: Potential New DA62 Owner

Ron/John - thank you very much for the replies. Ron - the checklist is a good idea. She has flown with me quite a bit in the 130 and takes a fair amount of inflight navigation and some radio work as it is, so she would be very capable of working a checklist through a descent. As for checking the 'fi...

Potential New DA62 Owner

I am currently a rotorcraft pilot transitioning to fixed wing. Not that it matters for these questions, but by way of backround I currently fly an Airbus H130. Anyhow, in looking at the next stop, I am fortunate to have a good range of options. The Turboprops are terrific, but I think taking it slow...
