Continental 2.0S STC
Hello Forum,
Can anybody please point to where I can find the STC for the Contintal 2.0S retrofit to DA42 TDi? I have tried the EASA website but the search function is poor.

Re: Cabin air vents suddenly not venting air in flight
Are your cabin heating and canopy defog working correctly? The cables break occasionally so even though the control lever is closed, the vent remains open. This would augment ram air pressure in the cabin and so reduce flow through the ventilators.

What are your weather limits in DA42?
I'd be interested to hear of other DA42 pilots weather limitations in DA42 in terms of forecasted weather? Where do you draw the line in terms of icing, CBs, etc?
Particularly for non-radar aircraft.

Re: Failure of electric rudder pedal adjustment
Why does anybody ever buy this option? Adds expense, adds weight, adds maintenance, adds complexity. Plus you have to put the electric master on to move the pedals when you need to apply parking brake while standing outside the cockpit. I have never seen the slightest advantage to it.

Re: AE330 180hp DA42 STC
Interesting then that they built the E4-C engine with excessive cooling capacity. Oversize radiators, ducts and cowlings all add to drag and weight penalties.

Re: AE330 180hp DA42 STC
I would think there would be a lot of cooling problems if you just re-programmed the ECUs. As a parallel example, the Thielert 2.0S are same engine as Thielert 2.0 but with different engine mapping to increase max power by about 15%. But even with an upgraded cooling system, the 2.0S can't climb at ...
