Yes, they can configure the tug to work with a DA40 and wheel pants. I have had mine for 5 years and it works great to back the plane into 40’ hanger door opening.

Re: Emergency Battery Pack Location
I have a 2002 DA40 and my emergency battery pack requires 28 Duracell batteries and I see where it is in the manual and I thought how convenient of a location at the bottom of the panel, thinking I didn't have to open the glare shield. But it looks like I have to unscrew from the inside to drop the ...

I recently had the same issue. I replaced the slickstart and my starting issues went away. About $1,100.

Charles,

Re: Starting problems
Just an update. The slick start was the issue and I replaced the unit today (Surestart) and the issue with engine not starting until I released the key is resolved. Thanks everyone for the information from previous and new posts.

Re: Starting problems
Hi Daryl, The mechanic is hopefully going to inspect it this week. Mag checks have been good and nothing like you are experiencing in the air. On cold starts I let the prop rotate 2 twice and release and it always starts. Hot starts are a different problem. It takes me several attempts to hit it jus...

Re: Starting problems
Rich, thanks For the info. My old instructor flew it last Friday and noticed the problem as well. I am going to have the mechanic take a look.
