CD 135 with clutch replacement options

Apologize in advance, if this is a repeat topic, but I couldn't find anything applicable to USA. I have a DA42 with the CD135 (with clutch not flywheel) engines. I am looking at hitting the TBR late next year, and I am trying to wander my way around replacement options. It seems like I can now repla...

Re: Deice low pressure light

Take the toggle switch out of the test position. That will fix the problem. Not that I've done it (several times), but I know a guy who has... really? My understanding is the test position has no real effect, except that it monitors the sensors (and so annunciators will light) even when the pumps a...

Re: Deice low pressure light

I have had no way to test this theory, but I am hopeful that its because its actually too warm out. According to the manual you can expect the deice pressure light to be on, even in HIGH mode, if its warmer than 10 degrees C. Deice low pressure light

Proud new part owner of a DA42. Now that winter is approaching I have been trying out the deice. Seems to work just fine, but after a few minutes the deice pressure low annunciation on the g1000 comes on. I have run the check list and the issue persists. On the ground with deice on all the appropria...

Zero Fuel Mass (Weight)

New owner of a DA42 (with 3 partners). This is the first aircraft I have owned, and I apologize for what is probably an obvous question. I am trying to figure out the particular Zero Fuel Weight (Mass) of this aircraft. Latest POH has this to say: Note: Maximum zero fuel masses: -1650 kg (3638 lb) -...

Re: Running at 90%

Thanks. Very reassuring. If u factor in engine replacement costs, at least in the USA, it seems cheaper to run at 90%

Running at 90%

I am not finding any reason not to run at 90% power.

Is there any?

Sorry if this is a repeat post, I tried searching but the search doesn't like me 8-)
