Re: Austro Cylinder Heads

Is this something that someone with an early SN 62 can swap out for the newer cylinder heads, or wait until TBO if that can even be changed during overhaul?

Re: DA62 Mx Intervals

Thanks Dave. Very detailed and will definitely be used down the road for me when it comes to maintenance planning. Guess I should have mentioned that I did see that in 5-10-00 further down. Where do you find the information on 300 hr requirements for the gearbox oil / oil filter? Are they located in...

I have seen plenty of information about the different maintenance intervals for the 42 model, especially the 300 / 600 / 900 hr intervals found in http://www.greatlakesdiamond.com/hourly-engine-reserves-for-da42/ Going ...

1. The big change was Legacy G1000-->G1000 NXi in April 2017, which also included fuel gauges being added to the AUX tanks, heated static ports on fuselage, availability of the optional GCU476 FMS keypad in the center armrest, and GTX33ES transponder-->GTX335R transponder. (Later avionics upgrades ...

Re: Your Broker / Dealer / Consultant Experience

Thank you everyone for your responses. I did try searching initialy, but I have found I did not search with enough specific key words. I will definitely do a more in-depth search as Andrew suggested. Thank you David. I will definitely keep them in mind. Thank you Chris for sharing your experience ag...

Re: Another safe year for Diamonds

Apologies everyone if I came across a little too crass. It wasn't my intention to try and single any one type of pilot out or disparage a group of pilots. Yes, I do admit now that my post seemed a little harsh and that's my dumb fault for not proof reading enough. It was just a thought that came int...

Your Broker / Dealer / Consultant Experience

Evening Everyone, I want to tap into the wealth of knowledge that is in this online community about the broker / dealer / aviation consultant paths for aircraft acquisition. I have tried to look up any such information on the forums and have not been seeing many search hits. In particular, I wanted ...

Re: Another safe year for Diamonds

Good recognition of the impending stall and recovery. We pilots can become so goal orientated sometimes in trying to save a landing, or focusing so intently on doing what ATC instructs us to do that we forget to actually control the aircraft sometimes. This brings up two important points for me. 1)....

Re: Complex/TAA aircraft

I can definitely agree with the annoyance of the TAA category, especially with those pesky insurance companies. I recently finished recurrent in the PC-12NG in October at FSI. The training gives you a 61.56 flight review, and pretty much all of 61.57 (PIC Landing currency for day & night, instru...
