Re: Portable Oxygen Systems

We've used the Mountain High (without O2D2) for years, and it's a nice system. MarkA created a clever foam stand for the canister that fits behind the center console. The first stage regulator is solid and the quick-release connectors work well. Everybody who uses the O2D2 seems to love them, and y...

Re: Beringer brakes & tubeles tires on DA62

I'll be going to Sun n Fun in a couple of weeks. Beringer is listed as an exhibitor and I will try to get some additional clarification on when this might be coming to North American based DA62's. Hey nworthin. Was curious if you were able to get a PIREP from Beringer? Hope you had a blast at Sun n...

Re: DA62 Mx Intervals

Thanks Dave and jb642DA. I’m scoping out shops within the Denver, Kansas & Texas areas and figuring out what their going labor rates are. Since I have not gone through any of those actual inspections yet I figured getting a rough ballpark for time is the best I can do for now. My small budget sp...

Re: DA62 Mx Intervals

Thanks Dave. I was seeing what a rough amount of labor hours it generally takes to complete a 100 & 200 hr inspection, and Annual? I’m not really tinker friendly so I won’t be assisting on those inspection yet, but would definitely like to down the road. Guess not doing an assisted will add some...

Great video! Also enjoyed hearing about the 2nd engine over mountains, water and at night. Don't hear that talked about much anymore.

Re: Insurance

Evening Mack, Not sure if this would contribute at all but here’s the contact info of the broker that I’m using. He might be able to look into this and point you a certain way. FYI I have a medical and don’t use BasicMed so I’m not too knowledgeable with that part. Ryan Horst Managing Director - Avi...

That's disheartening! Thanks for bringing this to the groups attention David. Wonder if CFIDave would have any thoughts on this.

Re: Part 91 condition based maintenance in a DA42NG

I definitely go with Neema on the CAA fuel. Depending where you fly AvFuel could be helpful too, but you get the bigger discounts with CAA. It might not seem much at first, but over time the savings add up that can be used for the aircraft instead of being burned into the atmosphere.
