Re: Starting to see DA40 parts from China...
They build all models in China for the Asian market? Is that all of Asia (India, SE Asia, Taiwan, etc., excluding Oceana, but including Japan? Do you know what parts they are supplying to Canada and Austria? I only saw finished DA42's and DA40's at that time (2019), too soon for DA-62 production et...

Re: Starting to see DA40 parts from China...
I browse eBay occasionally for DA40 parts. I have been seeing some 'New' parts from China. An example listed below: https://www.ebay.com/itm/386102587693? I am wondering if the Chinese factory is selling excess inventory, or if the parts are counterfeit, as is common from China (especially electron...

Re: Landing/Taxi lights
The older version incandescent (majority of DA40's) conversion this STC was designed around, is quite simply plug and play, no mods as required and shown here. The original installation instructions are on our website here: https://www.xevision.com/pdf/InstallationofXeVisionHIDlightsforDiamondDA40....

Re: Landing/Taxi lights
it is not a completely plug-in play installation. The holders on the LEDs are not quite big enough to fit the new lights. It’s not hard to use a Dremel tool to grind out the metal but it does take a while. Thanks Michael for the above clarification and post. Note: The pricing given in the previous ...

ahmebane post: "I put Aeroled sunbeams on my DA40 last week." They offer same theoretical lumens (3200-3300) output as the 35 watt HID's They claim 90,000 Candela but that must taper down some to control overheating. Just not so dramatically as their higher output Par-36 4.5 inch diameter ...

Re: Landing Light Performance
No, only for the DA-40 or 20's and still not very good LED performance numbers.
The DA-62, DA-42, DA-50 RG are all basically identical installations of the same OEM HID systems from the factory. What works for one of them will work for all 3.
