The older version incandescent (majority of DA40's) conversion this STC was designed around, is quite simply plug and play, no mods as required and shown here. it is not a completely plug-in play installation. The holders on the LEDs are not quite big enough to fit the new lights. No, only for the DA-40 or 20's and still not very good LED performance numbers.
The DA-62, DA-42, DA-50 RG are all basically identical installations of the same OEM HID systems from the factory. What works for one of them will work for all 3.

I still wonder about the aiming in the '62. On my DA40, the 35W XeVision lamps' vertical aiming is close to straight forward, as shown in this picture.
