Re: DA50 vs The World

The data shows exactly opposite what you are arguing on Cirrus. I see a bunch of people blabbing about data.... I am not sure that I have seen much in the way of anything that looked like a reputable analysis. But Im sure that given this is the internet there is such a thing. But more seriously, I ...

Re: DA50 vs The World

I moved from a SR22TN to the DA50 and have not regretted it. I feel safer and allow my son to fly it because the DA50 is so difficult to upset. When practicing stalls and recovery from unusual attitudes you really have to wrestle it to do anything but keep flying. Range is an issue only on about 1%...

Somehow or the other there needs to be a safety compromise... I personally not a fan of sport and recreational pilot licenses.

Thoughts after 2 year of owning a DA40NG

Last year I posted on my first year https://www.diamondaviators.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8861 .... here is my second. After getting the plane back from Annual last year I have flown another 391-ish hobbs hours. In that time I finished my CFI ratings and my wife and I flew to the Bahamas, Florida, a...

Re: DA50 vs The World

I knew that I would press everyones hot button when I wrote parachute - safety I started to not put it in my comments because I didn't really mean to turn this into VI/Emacs Mac/PC Python/Ruby Ford/Chevy Porsche/Ferrari Oh well. On a happy side note... my 50 with my tail # flew in London yesterday.....

Re: DA50 vs The World

For anyone that has ordered or is flying a DA50, I'm wondering why you selected the aircraft? What were the elements of the plane or the company that factored most in your decision? 1. I wanted to buy a DA62 but my wife wanted a single That's unfortunate. If you can afford $1M+ for a new DA50, a DA...

Re: DA50 vs The World

I was thinking about this more last night. I believe that the DA40NG is by far the best behaved, safest, useful, awesome GA airplane out there. If it was only a little bit bigger, with a little bit more useful load and FIKI. Oh!!! that is also known as a DA50RG I think that the DA50RG has everything...

What does this mean?
A dealer (e.g. LifeStyle)->Diamond Canada->Diamond Austria->Wanfeng Aviation Industry Co->???

I think that a lot of our frustration with communication arises from the way they are organized.

Re: DA50 vs The World

8. No parachute - safety Why? This airplane would be much more appealing with a parachute option. This is a super complicated topic. It is very debated on both sides. I have no data. Which means I don't have a valid opinion. But given that this is the internet and people blab: I THINK (but dont kno...
