Re: Prop Damage
Are the leading edges made of nickel or stainless steel? In 2021 I spoke with someone from MT who said all their props had nickel, except for the ones on Austro engines. MT website says "The metal leading edge can be manufactured from stainless steel or optionally chemically from Nickel.” In t...
Re: Governor
Many of the twins I have been involved with have had prop governor problems. Typical issue is one governor starts wondering by as much as 35% lower load on a random time frame. Replacing the governor solves has nearly always solved this problem.

Re: Into my first annual with my 62….impressions
Sorry to hear that Joel. In December I experienced a many-week part supply problem from Diamond. They didn't return any phone calls, and no emails. Premier were able to finally get the parts from Diamond, but it was an awful process.

Re: Reading ECU data from serial port
Problem is that the dongle is only available from Diamond, and more recently, they won't sell you one unless you attend one of their week-long online maintenance courses. Off the shelf canbus dongles won't work. Somehow, Diamond has linked the software to only work with dongles they sell. Mike Meado...

Re: Aux Pump failed?
The PFD annunciation was coming on when the aux pump was switched on but no fuel was transferred. How were you able to tell there was an issue? Just observing fuel gauges not changing? Yes, aux gauges didn’t show a decrease, and main gauges didn’t show an increase. Resetting breakers didn’t help. O...

Re: Aux Pump failed?
Had the exact same problem with a DA62 that I fly back in early November. Both aux pumps failed. At first intermittent, then hard fail. The pumps are made in the UK specially for Diamond by a company called Andair. Took many weeks for Diamond Canada to get replacements, with terrible communication. ...

Re: Jet fuel decal
Great idea, thanks for posting. Another idea: If expecting the FBO to fuel the plane when you are not around, put some of this tape over the fuel caps: Fuel Tape.JPG https://www.pilotshop.com/catalog/cspages/fueltapejeta.php https://skygeek.com/fuel-tape-jet-a-fuel-only-indicator-tape.html?utm_sourc...
