Looking for DA40 for sale in UK or EU
Hi guys, if anybody is looking to sell their DA40 either in UK or EU (but would have to be VAT registered if in the EU as I'm based in the UK and importing from an individual would up the price 20% for me) I would be interested.

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
How much do you guys think having the extras of MT 3-blade composite prop, a long range tank and performance landing gear is worth?

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
Thanks @BenPeterson77. I had a look at an online quote and looks like it's 1.5% roughly for me. Probably comes down to the number of hours, I've got 110 hours total and about 20 hours on a DA40.
It seems like the price is a bit on the high side so I guess I'll see. I've got a plan to go see the ...

Re: DA40 Home Sim Components?
A few thoughts on simming DA40. MSFS is generally OK in flight so for IFR practice you will probably be OK. Ground effect and ground physics are not great however. The wheels seemingly have very little friction so the aircraft weathervanes like a paper kite and the ground effect feels very strong ...

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
If by "doesn't have it", you mean WAAS, then I would say $330k is definitely overpriced! If it has WAAS but just not VNV, then it may not be (depending on condition, hours, etc. as Dave said).
Yeah so to be clear no WAAS and no VNV (as far as I know). Am checking further directly with the owner ...

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
Good tip thanks. Have pictures indeed it does not have a VNV button. Also asked the dealer and he said he doesn't think it has it.

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
330k is A LOT. I would wait. Also, no WAAS, no sale or you need to plan to upgrade.
Do you think it's a lot? I had a look at ads on controller for similar aircraft and seems like most of the asking prices are somewhere in the region of $350-370k. So 330k is their asking price (though they said ...

Re: Buying a first aircraft help
Yeah definitely planning to do that. It's currently at the stage where I haven't seen it yet so want to go and take a look first and do a test flight, then do get a pre-buy if I decide to go forward.

Buying a first aircraft help
Hi everyone, so I am looking into buying my first aircraft and have found a nice looking DA40 XL available not far from where I live for ~$330k. Hoping to get some advice from the wise owners on this forum. What kind of things should I look for especially when initially looking at the aircraft? Any ...
