Re: Intermittent AHRS fail

Had that problem; replaced the AHRS and loads else; hours and hours with various avionics shops including Diamond Canada [who did not find/fix the problem]. Re: AHRS / Heading Indicator Gremlin

DIN7985 is the base spec for the screw, M4x12 is width x length. In addition to DIN7985 there are further designators following, like 'A2' or 'A1' or 'A4' - this is the material. E.g. see https://www.pts-uk.com/product_search.php?query=DIN7985&filterDIN=7985 (this site only has stainless steel s...

Re: new, refurbished DA40 woes

delaPlanet, I must admit I would not expect to have such problems. I know that taking apart an airplane & reassembling can cause new problems that weren't problems before, but surely if the maintenance shop is doing their job then you should not be having the long list of issues that you are? I ...

Re: Corked Nose Wheel

Hello Bret, I am sure Antoine was joking.. Anyway, there are a lot of us on here who would be interested in your solution, particularly buying it if a 337 has been done. (Perhaps unrealistic, but I would have thought that even the factory really should be interested, considering how well-known this ...

Re: Rudder tab

Interesting. I would have thought that the specification of the rudder is with the rudder trim tab attached, so if it was me I wouldn't remove it, even if it is set straight ..

Re: Rudder tab

I had similar; I bent the tab a little and the out of balance was less, then I bent it some more and out of balance was then nil (in smooth air).
So you could give this a try?
