Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

All G1000 NXi flight decks have WAAS and can fly LPV and LP approaches. Diamonds included. So that means most DIamond aircraft since about 2018? But no upgrade path is planned or announced for earlier models? Earlier models that have WAAS installed can also fly LPV and LP approaches. The issue is t...

Re: This looks like a fake ad?

My guess is that it was converted to AE300 engines at some point. The low price is because the ad says
I am only selling 1/6th of the aircraft. Please do not enquire about the entire aircraft. Thank you!"

I believe that "CAP140 autopilot" is really intended to be "KAP140 autopilot". I mention this so that, perhaps an admin can change the topic's title in order that it will show up during searches. OTOH, this post of mine will cause it to do so, anyway.
Thanks, Sandy. Title has been updated.

Re: Censoring of Posts

Keith's post was deleted for being off-topic, not for being critical of DAI. There are loads of threads/posts which are critical of DAI on the forum which are not taken down. IMO, it's not acceptable to re-post the same criticisms over and over in new threads that are on other topics. I don't know w...

DA40 XLS partnership at KHIO

Third partner wanted for our 2010 DA40 XLS hangered at KHIO (Hillsboro, OR). The two current partners combined fly about 160 hours per year so there is plenty of availability for a 3rd partner. 2010 DA40 XLS, 710 TTSN, 2-blade Hartzel composite prop, Garmin G1000, GFC700, WAAS, Synthetic Vision, XM ...

Re: Hangar Furniture

1) The castering nosewheel does make using a winch a bit more complicated. You basically need to be able to lift the nose wheel off of the ground by pushing down on the rear of the plane while operating the winch. This also makes it easy to steer the plane via the tail while it is being pulled into ...

All very very interesting, but according to the FAA, the OP has a Lycoming IO-360…
True, but since the OP didn't specify and posted this question in the DA42 forum, it's not unreasonable to assume the question relates to the DA42. Maybe the OP will be back to clarify which engine.

Re: SQL Error?

Thanks for letting me know. I'll probably switch us back to a beefier server. My guess is that we're either running short of memory or queries are timing out when the site is busy.

Server switchover

While performing some minor site maintenance tonight, I switched the server over to a slightly less expensive configuration. I haven't noticed any issues with it yet, but I'll try to keep an eye on it to make sure it's still able to handle the load. If you notice any annoying slow-downs, please let ...
