All very very interesting, but according to the FAA, the OP has a Lycoming IO-360…
True, but since the OP didn't specify and posted this question in the DA42 forum, it's not unreasonable to assume the question relates to the DA42. Maybe the OP will be back to clarify which engine.

Switchover to a more capable server is complete. Please let me know if you see the error again.

Re: SQL Error?

Thanks for letting me know. I'll probably switch us back to a beefier server. My guess is that we're either running short of memory or queries are timing out when the site is busy.

Server switchover

While performing some minor site maintenance tonight, I switched the server over to a slightly less expensive configuration. I haven't noticed any issues with it yet, but I'll try to keep an eye on it to make sure it's still able to handle the load. If you notice any annoying slow-downs, please let ...

Re: Diamonds and Ratings

The second link is just to explain that the Classifieds section is restricted to members with a rank of 3-Diamonds or more.

The row of stars underneath a topic indicate how many times posts in that thread have received a "thanks" from one user to another.

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up

Middle Tennessee State has quite a few Diamonds, according to this link : In 2002, MTSU purchased 25 planes from Diamond Aircraft and The New Piper Aircraft Inc. for $4.8 million. These new airplanes enabled the MTSU Aerospace department to incorporate the latest technology into their flight trainin...

Re: Guidance for ADS-B Decision

Because of where I fly, my goal would be to keep my TCAS functional and to show both TCAS and ADS-B targets on the G1000 MFD. The last I heard, Diamond (or Garmin) has not been willing to create that software solution. I'm pretty sure that particular feature is supported by the Garmin GTX-345R. The...

Re: Path to ADS-B & WAAS for older DA40s

Seems like a perfectly reasonable use of the Wiki to me. We can update the various threads with links to the data once it has been compiled.

Re: KAP140

Actually it does - it provides ATC with info on altitude set on G1000 via Mode-S response. Are you saying the data block on controller screens displays the setting of the plane's G1000 altitude bug? I find that hard to believe given that different pilots set the altitude bug differently, for exampl...
