Re: Guidance for ADS-B Decision

I have the setup that Chris, Rick and CFIDave mentioned above, except that my plane did not originally have Avidyne Traffic and so I added the TAS610 (not the TAS600) as a part of the install with the GTX345R.

Re: DA50 base MSRP Guesstimate

I would very much like to see the DA50 succeed, but I am a bit worried that it may be over priced particularly if it out prices a DA62. Cessna came out with the TTx which was supposed to compete with the SR22, in fact I believe it out performed the SR22 and the SR22T in speed, had a nice Garmin avio...

DA50 base MSRP Guesstimate

I have been doing some research and calculations trying to come up with an estimated base MSRP for the new DA50 along with added features for items such as GCU 470 in the armrest, A/C, etc using a price list of the DA62, however, With the following: New engine selection (Continental CD-300 Diesel) r...

New DA62 Interior Option - Lounge Seat Option

Diamond revealed the new Lounge Seat Option for the wider DA62 which consists of an Armrest cavity and cup holders between the 2 middle seats versus 3 seats.

I am also going to bet that this will be an available option for the 5 seat DA50.

Re: Pretty good landing...

Well I can say that as far as loss of engine power goes, they were in the best airplane for that. Glad they are OK and the plane looks to be in good condition too.

Re: Jeppen vs. Garmin nav data

Thanks for that advise. I was actually struggling as to which Garmin package to go with combined with the fact that I actually have plates on Foreflight. I was thinking the same thing but am glad to know that you recommend that as well.

Re: Jeppen vs. Garmin nav data

Thanks Dave, you are correct and I am slowly figuring this out. John - that is a very good point, and luckily I am at the end of my yearly Jeppesen subscription (renews in May 2019) and so I will just not renew. All the databases can be purchased from flygarmin including FliteCharts at a cheaper pri...

Re: Jeppen vs. Garmin nav data

Well I just got off the phone with Jeppesen 24 hours support and its as I suspected. Jeppesen does not provides Garmin Charts and so I have installed ChartView (Jeppesen Charts) in to a non Jeppesen licensed G1000. So I can either unlock the Jeppesen Plate feature on the G1000 or purchase FliteChart...

Re: Jeppen vs. Garmin nav data

I updated my G1000 databases for the first time today (March 31 2019). Prior to this I simply had it done by the factory (after showing that I owned a Jepp/Garmin subscription) every time the airplane went to London, ON. Today I used my Jeppesen subscription to download the NavVata, Airport Director...
