the heater vent in the rear seat foot area is held in by velcro and can easily be pulled out. From the back you can access all the stuff under the seat as well.

Can anyone share if they have found an easy way to install the oil screen plug and safety wire it. Even with the exhaust removed, it is a challenge, and with the exhaust in place, near impossible. Normally there is the "bong" noise when the warnings go off, perhaps somehow the sound file got corrupted wherever it lives in the G1000. You'd think the Garmin folks would know, or perhaps just reloading the system software would fix it.

Steve, parts in hand and hoping for a brief synopsis of how to change the 2 small o-rings in the kit. Surprising that Newton has absolutely no instructions for these things! I recall reading somewhere that if you don't do it right, the lock springs fly out.

It is surprising maintenance problems like this don't happen more often.
