I had an intermittent issue just like yours, OAT run up and down, TAS xout then autopilot disconnect, replaced the OAT probe, gone for a while but reappeared. Rewired directly to the ADC, problem solved.

Who does their own oil changes and at what frequency. 50hrs is the norm but I have a notion to do mine every 25 to 30 hrs. It seems to me that the oil looks much dirtier at around 25hrs and starts to burn much quicker after that as well. Logic tells me that that this would be the ideal time to do an...

:scream: well it think i got it now,
The root cause was an intermittent transponder. Found some inferior cable that was upgraded, replaced a couple of questionable connections and voila no more failures.
well lets hope, 50hrs and counting.
Oh I almost forgot to mention the best part; $10,000 later

two engines double the chance of engine failure. Having said that, I am looking for the comfort of deice for those days coming soon here around the great lakes. The DA42 is the most efficient plane with deice, turbo and a reasonable fuel economy with the benefit (or not) of two engines. My greatest ...
