Aviator Lifejackets
For those interested, I came across and purchased recently a really brilliantly thought out lifejacket from Andark in the U.K., specifically designed for Aviators. The Owner is also a pilot and had the lifejacket specifically designed and produced in conjunction with Spinlock, the well-known lifejac...

Re: DA42 v DA62 Training Options
I would agree with Papa Sierra’s comments. If you are going to fly a DA62 anyway and can afford the 2k difference, then I would train in the DA62. I did my DA62 Systems Training and MEP at Diamond Wiener Neustadt which also suggest you consider as the knowledge imparted was invaluable. The manual pr...

Re: DA62/42-VI dry lease?
I undertook my DA62 IRA at Angel City Flyers KLGB where there are a number of DPE’s checked out on the DA62. I would also highly recommend their CFI Cary Jones.
Good luck.

Re: Oil consumption
Hi Russ -
From my experience, the oil level should ideally be kept at the half way mark between min and max. Anything above that is just consumed away. At the half way mark, consumption is really minimal.

Link to Final Report herewith below, contents of which is self-explanatory. Although it is invariably always a series of events leading to an accident, there are some real lessons to be learnt here so far as wake turbulence separation minima is concerned. https://www.gcaa.gov.ae/en/ePublication/admi...

Re: Beige Interieur Leather
Welcome to the forum Felix! I chose black for aesthetics and practicality. Blue jeans destroyed the white leather in my car and I am also not keen on the sheepskin covers! In Europe there is less need for air conditioning, however, you should bear in mind for W&B you will need to add around 40kg...
