Re: Lycoming Fuel Line AD
I'm going to have to take a look at mine. I see that you have the black cushion clamps. These are the general purpose clamps and not the high temp clamps. I believe mine may have the white high temp silicone clamps. Blue clamps are also the high temp petroleum resistant type.

Re: GNS530W display fail
Just a reminder. Garmin does a "flat rate repair". Make sure you note EVERYTHING that may be an issue. Sticky buttons, scratchy volume control, lower power transmit, etc. What might be the slightest issue. That way they basically give you back a refurbished radio instead of a repaired radio.

Someone else posted pics of an equivalent level of work from a guy at Corona Airport. It was very nice. Anyone know of the shop?

Re: Where to order an aftermarket canopy / windshield ?
One thing you may do. Do you have all the pieces of the glass? Can they be reassembled so an acrylic blower can get the shape correct? If so call one of these companies directly. I have used this company for an experimental. They are very nice people and very professional. Give them a call. https://...

Re: Where to order an aftermarket canopy / windshield ?
I can only speak about USA FAA regulations. There are ways for an owner to recreate/replicate a part but you will need exact materials and engineering drawings. Aside from that you would need a form 337 with approval from your FAA FSDO. Many classic aircraft are operating under experimental or Restr...
