Re: iPad Mount Options

the DA62 has 2 built in mounts for the RAM Diamond base #RAM-B-238U-5 on both a-pillars. Simply remove the 2 screws and install mount. You might have to get longer screws. OK, I'm confused. My aircraft does have the 2 screws on each lower A pillar. Yesterday I went out and removed one of the screws...

Passenger Assist Step Suggestions

My father would like to go for rides with me in the DA62 but normally he moves around with a walker (although he's good for short distances w/o one) and I was looking for some foldable steps that I could take along to help him get up and back off the wing. Does anybody have any suggestions or other ...

Re: iPad Mount Options

RAM mounts are great, yet have found products by mygoflight.com even better: http://mgfproducts.com/aviation I've used both and yet switched to mygoflight products many years ago and have never looked back since making the change. Those look nice but on a first glance I didn't see any mounts that m...

Landing Gear Indicator Lights

Last night I took my DA62 up for the first time solo at night. When I went to drop the gear, no 3 green lights greeted me but the gear unsafe light lit and went out as it should. I cycled it a couple of times without any further success but then I remembered my instructor saying that when the DA42 p...

Re: Garmin OnePak vs PilotPak

Great, thanks for the quick answer!

One more related question. The FliteCharts are just the electronic representation of the paper approach plates and procedures, right? I already have them on Foreflight so I'm not sure I need them on the MFD.

Garmin OnePak vs PilotPak

Hello everyone, I just took delivery of a DA62 and was looking to subscribe to Garmin updates. In reviewing their website, it didn't really jump out at me what the difference is between their 'OnePak' and their 'PilotPak'. Anyone with experience have a nutshell description of the differences? Thanks...

Here you go:

Pretty sure it would be too wide for a DA40/42.

Re: iPad Mount Options

Thanks for the photos! I'm waiting to order the parts until I actually see my aircraft, which is supposed to be delivered today. (But I've thought that on previous days as well.)

Re: iPad Mount Options

Thanks, I did not realize that there were two mount locations in there already. Great to know!
