Re: NON-WAAS question

Thank you Wolfgang. So what you are basically saying is that the only advantage of the WAAS/EGNOS upgrade would be that you get the luxury of vertical guidance on GPS approaches and that you would legally be able to fly to lower minima on most such approaches. But it does not buy you anything on RNP...

Re: NON-WAAS question

I am affected as well (non-WAAS G1000), and started to read up a bit on this. AFAIUI right now the situation is as described above. So you can fly en-route on a non-WAAS G1000, and also fly LNAV approaches. You'll do that without vertical guidance, so basically like you would do any conventional Non...

Re: Leaking fuel hoses

Re: Leaking fuel hoses

Hi Daniel, It's not an AD, it's in the Maintenance Manual(s): The Aircraft MM (chapter 4, Airworthiness Limitations) refers to 'possible Airworthiness Limitations' of vendor equipment, and lists the engine MM. Re: Leaking fuel hoses

'Thielert' DA42, no problems so far. Note: hoses and pipes need to be replaced every 5 years under EASA rules, Airworthiness limitation.. Did that in 2013. Different in SA, Steve? And how about FAA, Colin?

Re: pilot relief tube

Seriously (and before I get stripped of a few of my stars by the moderator), I would not be wild about the idea that my residues would end up on the empennage, because this venturi probably would not prevent that?
