Re: Weak radio signal
Paul, that is so funny you mentioned that. I gave "The Fox" a good belly cleaning over the weekend and had a thick oil film on the antenna. And it did improve my reception.

Re: ELT Spontaneous sounding
Thanks Steve. That makes sense. I have a 2003 and I use my Comm 2 for unicom and asks communication. I will check the SB in the logs

ELT Spontaneous sounding
The past there take-offs, my ELT has gone off. Anyone have clue why this is happening? I press the button to reset and it goes back off. It's just a little annoying. Could it be a battery going bad? like smoke alarms in the house?

Re: Coopers Aircraft-- Diamond DA40 seat refurbishing
The $6400 includes shipping worldwide. He sends shipping boxes with labels. All we have to do is take out our seats and box them into his boxes and drop them off at the shipper. The process seems seamless. I wouldn't do this until the winter months. The turnaround time is 3 weeks guaranteed. I'm sim...

Search his page on Face Book and you will see a lot of his work in aviation. His background is custom upholstery for high end in cars. He has taken the same approach f...

Re: Weak radio signal
Just a thought... is it possible the problem is in your headset mic? That's easy to diagnose with another headset.

Re: MT Prop Overhaul
I have flown the Hartzell composite prop and my 3 blade MT on a Diamond. This will forever be a debate among owners. It seems that all owners will agree whatever is powering their DA40 is the best combination. I can say that I noticed more vibration during climb and there was a shutdown shake with t...

Dynamic Prop Balance
After four months and about 40 hours of flight, I decided to see if my newly overhauled MT Prop from Deland, FL was still in balance. Good news, the prop was very well balanced by MT. I needed the smallest weight possible to get me dead center. Enclosed is the balance log. So if anyone is wondering ...

Re: Diamonds at Bowman Field - Louisville, KY
You may want to place and ad for a Louisville Club in Barnstormers or Trade a Plane? A lot of guys that look for airplanes there also look for ownership opportunities with partners. Good Luck to you. Keep us posted if you buy a DA40.
