Gary, I know you don't fly the DA42 any longer but do you recall your fuel flow figures at various power settings?
You must have used a basis for flight planning.

Noted Dave, but the end result of all this is that I have -say- 5 gallons less in my tanks than what the totaliser says after a 5 hours flight. More or less regardless of altitude flown btw. messed up table.. First column is power setting, second one FF by the book, third one FF by the FF meter and last one % difference

With the new ELA1 and ELA2 maintenance regime being introduced in EASA-land one could elect to continue to run the CD135/155 engines beyond their recommended TBR (1500hrs/12 yrs for the 'older' versions). Maybe in the cases where the MAP does not coincide with the runway you could make a user waypoint at the RW threshold. While you are still en-route of course ;)
