Re: Member requirements response
So it stays all up to Chris who is doing an awesome job maintaining this forum. This thread is only one good example how Chris spends his time for nothing. You have received all the information you need to ask any question you might have. Focus on the questions you have regarding Diamond aircraft a...

Re: Member requirements response
Yes, I believe the people on here without Diamonds once owned them. In my experience a larger user population is more work for the moderators. Have *some* gate to entry (own the plane, pay $30, whatever it is) cuts out a lot of people that troll for attention or are there to sell something. Since w...

Re: Member requirements response
To the guy asking about a friend of his interested in buying a Diamond and wanting to participate in this forum first, he can post here in the public forum like I am doing. Don’t have to be a member. Of course you can browse in any topics but only post and respond in the public forum until you buy ...

Re: DA42 v Baron
Yes, it's a great comparison if one flies at 6,000' all of the time, or, if one flies at 16,000' all of the time. It's all about your mission. What is your mission? If you are based at 1,000'msl and 90% of your trips never cross 5,000'msl, then your needs are different than if you are based at 5 or...

Jason
I don't believe it is certified for it yet, as that was one of my questions I asked when I got my -VI.

I am still active on the Cirrus COPA site. There is always discussion over there about other airplanes and since I moved to the DA42, more about Diamonds! One of the guys there who is thinking of buying tried on my advice to join this site to find out more about Diamonds. He has come back to me sayi...

Re: Check list
Perry, congrats on your new plane! With a 2018 DA42-VI, your plane with G1000 NXi should include a DA42NG electronic checklist file installed on the single 32 Gbyte SDcard that fits into the bottom MFD slot. This file will be transferred to the MFD's non-volatile memory the first time that the G100...

Re: Check list
Rob, That is certainly a good solution. I would make the point to those that don’t know, that if you have to take it with you, you can as it easily fits in the nose locker and at 12kg it is light enough to do so. David I thought Perry was referring to the electronic checklists. They are meant to be ...

Re: Check list
Perry I asked Diamond Austria about the checklists and they are meant to finishing them hopefully next year. However I would ask you to contact Diamond directly, because I imagine if there are lots of customers asking, it may encourage them to finish it off earlier. And with the tow bars, I have bee...

Re: NXi features
Yes I was talking to Austria. Would you have a contact in Canada? The more “noise” we all make the more likely it is that they will certify all the features in the box, which really would make this an even more amazing airplane. I am surprised they didn’t want to have the same level of spec as the C...
