Brad, only life-limited parts on the DA20-C1 are the rudder cables, 3000 hours/10years. Of course the engine/shock mounts have a 2000 TBO. There is an approved facility in Anchorage, although I have no experience with them.

It is essential to fit the GRP baffles as close to the casing as possible. I have seen often, after an engine change, baffles re-installed with large gaps, CHT became a problem. The delta pressure is almost lost if gaps are too large. Normally becomes a problem at front & rear side of case......

Heads up to Operators, there has been a Mandatory Service Bulletin issued on March 6, 2014 for an inspection of the fuselage-flap bellcrank. DAC1-27-03 Rev0. Inspection does not take very long.

I'll talk to engineering, could be classed as a 'minor' and would not have to go through Diamond Austria (Certificate holder)

I have heard of guys putting in a plastic dish-wash 'scrubbie' from the outside (inside naca) which helped reduce noise level......

The liquid cooling, turbo charging, coupled with a cast iron block (majority) all add to the weight that a normally aspirated gasoline powered engine does not need.

The thrust to weight ratio is too high on the deisels for the speedy little design Pantherea requires.
