Re: Advice? Da40 g1000 egt and cht inop
I'm having the same problem. Re-racking the GEA71 seemed to work for one flight but that no longer helps. All other engine instruments are fine, just the CHT and EGT's that are X'd out.

Re: Alternator Failure?
Rick, Thanks for the pirep and advice. I'm going with the Plane Power too, $542 from AS for the AL24-70. Rich, Had I paid more attention to this post I would have changed my brushes before they failed (assuming that that was the failure mode I experienced...). You might want to take a peek at yours...

Re: Alternator Failure?
My alternator just failed. It was 9 years old and had ~750 hours. The alternator warning light came on in flight (0 amps and voltage dropping). I recycled the alternator switch and the alternator came back and kept operating for the remainder (2 more hours) of the flight. I then flew back home (4.5 ...

Re: G-1000 Data download
Perhaps try a brand new data card? They aren't that expesnive. Tim, I already tried that--same results. For whatever reason as soon as I pull the card then re-seat it it starts logging data. I assumed there was a config setting that I needed to change. Maybe I'll check with Diamond to see if they k...

Re: G-1000 Data download
The card has to be in the slot when you power up the G1000. If you insert the card after the power is on, I'm pretty sure you don't get anything. Mine is just the opposite. I have to reseat the card after powering up the G1000 or it will not record data. I had to put this on my checklist to prevent...

Re: Split Com Enable
In other words, split COM allows you to transmit on one COM while your co-pilot is transmitting on the other COM.
This feature was enabled by default early on then disabled in later SW versions due to potential COM interference.

Jean,
You are spot on!! The Gosselies Cat plant is building a new product that will be piloted in the EU. I'll be there for two weeks checking it out later this month. It is a small world!

I was just checking out some of the fantastic pictures you have posted. I'm going to be in Gosselies for a couple of weeks on business later this month but am looking forward to seeing some of the historic sites. Thanks for posting!

Re: Low fuel pressure... again
Brian Thanks for the info. Have you informed Diamond? We need to give them useful feedback. Regards Robin Robin, I posted this data to the DAA (other Diamond) site a year ago but have not sent it directly to DAC. If I had to speculate, I would say the check valve fuel vent may require just a little...
