I looked into getting the inspection holes for the front and back seats in my 2003 DA40. At the time (2017), the parts alone were several thousand dollars. Decided it was not worth it.

Chris- Thanks for this. I suspect it did not go to those of us who purchased our aircraft used. I revisited my suggestions for a DA41 and gave Diamond extensive comments. I also have the 40 gallon tanks, which are adequate for my 2-3 hour flights. The requirement for DA40-180s is in the AMM Operating Limitations, page 2-20. The fuel measuring device is listed as required as part of the Minimum Operational Equipment for Day VFR flight.

My shop charged $136 per plug ($1088 total) for Tempest fine wires in June. Regular plugs needed replacing so decided to try them. Happy with the result (slightly lower CHTs, smoother running).
