Update:
I located a supplier that had the needed part in stock (sold as Artex 455-0023, the complete kit for the panel including a new battery, if you are unfortunate enough to need one): $308.

Re: Replacement Remote Switch for Artex ME406P
- The ELT is Artex ME406 - The part in question is listed as a kit by Artex under the number 453-0023 - The frontispiece template number is 591-3029 - The entire unit is 570-0023 - If not confusing enough, in another document supplied by Diamond, I see a 455-0023 number for the enture unit. - It mou...

Replacement Remote Switch for Artex ME406P
I have an inop (damaged) remote panel mount ELT switch that Diamond used in the early XLS series.
Artex lists the design as discontinued. Does anyone know where I can locate one of these (new or used)?

Re: Rear seat back latch replacement
Thinking about the high strength epoxy solution, setting a rough metal pin to rejoin and glue the two pieces of the shaft would likely get the strength you need. Can you get a suitable angle with a drill and long bit to drill a receiving hole in the broken part of the pin remaining in the shaft? If ...

Re: My experience with the ElectroAir ignition upgrade
The reply I got from Electroair: Rob, The FAA wants full control over this as if that is a good thing. The only battery they are going to allow, at least initially, is the battery that Electroair chose which is the TCW Technologies lithium Iron phosphate battery which is already being used in aviati...

Re: My experience with the ElectroAir ignition upgrade
Thanks Phil. The company added a link stating that they received approval for dual installations April of this year but they have not had time to put detail on their website. I do not see any specs other than the fact that a battery is required. Are we talking about a 7 amp sealed lead acid, a 10 am...

Re: REPLACEMENT FOR BACKUP AI IN G1000 DA40
Wasn't Garmin's backup AI ruled out with G1000 equipped aircraft because of code similarities or am I thinking of something else.
