Re: This makes my skin crawl...
Once, during one of my first flights in our DA40 I took off from Boulder City near Las Vegas. My brother and I were the only ones in the plane. We self-announced on the CTAF as we flew in, had our meeting, and were preparing to depart. We discussed our planned departure and flight over out photograp...

Re: No plans for Diamond GFC 500 autopilot?
(Diamond already has all of this data. One of the things that amazed me about the last effort was that they kept all the data and wouldn't let the owners see it after the owners helped gather it.)

So I just have a baggage door key (which I like having separate because you can keep that key off the ...

Re: Front landing gear fairing
All DA40's My memory of mine is now fuzzy, but I see I had a front step. Why didn't I complain when they gave me a DA42 and took away my step? I guess that put me between the propeller and the wing. Online there are images of DA40s with a back step, and missing the front step. What was the rule? TK...

Re: Front landing gear fairing
I don't know that I have ever seen a front step. Is that an NG feature?
