Re: Looking for recommendations South-East US
I suggest KCDW instead of KTEB. A lot friendlier to smaller planes and Uber makes getting into the city just as easy.

Re: What comes after a DA40?
I should just send him my control sticks. I think I'd be happy with just those getting that treatment. It looks spectacular.

Re: What comes after a DA40?
I agree with the leather flying gloves. A white scarf would be going overboard. Which I also encourage.

Re: Looking for recommendations South-East US
I don't know how you can come all the way across the ocean and not want to traverse the continent, since it is so manageable in your plane. The Rockies are absolutely stunning to see. Not the Alps, but still stunning. And the West coast is beautiful. Lots of horse stuff in the west. If you are in Lo...

Re: DART 450
I had a $15k deposit down on the DA50. The removable stick and Cirrus-like comfort were big factors. When they split the effort into two models (one had FADEC and light pressurization, I think), I got my deposit back. I used to think it was a strange step-up from DA40 to DA42, since one seemed SO mu...

Re: iPad in DA40
I have now started attaching the suction cup after I get to altitude. That seems to eliminate that issue entirely.

Re: DA42 NG 2009/2010 from the beginning of production
For $750 the factory went through the logbooks with a fine-toothed comb. I found it invaluable. They found things the pre-buy annual inspection did not.

Re: What comes after a DA40?
I come to this thread for the photos. I had that color on the ceiling in my Volvo station wagon when the boys were small. Once when one was climbing into his car seat holding his chocolate ice cream, he waved it for balance. That mark was there for the rest of the time I had the car. Double the scot...
