Re: Hard to start my engine

I'd suspect the electric fuel pump, especially if you still have the original equipment. Are you getting good fuel flow while priming the engine?

DA40 goes for a swim, nobody hurt

Hate to see a DA40 underwater. Thankfully nobody was hurt in this botched go-around. It sounds like the pilot came in too fast on final, floated down the runway, and then ran out of real estate. Re: IMPORTANT: Updates and Upgrades of DAN

Can you re-enable Tapatalk for us mobile consumers? Heh, I actually hope it stays disabled. The new website is mobile friendly and for extra bonus I no longer get nagged to install unwanted software. Not me. I really miss the Tapatalk capability since that's how I keep up to date with 90% of the fo...

Re: ForcedAeroMotive: SuperCharged DA40

Cruise performance was also quite good, with about 154 KTAS at 12,500' running on 8.3 GPH. "Quite good" is a small understatement. 8-) You have me begging for more detail because this speed to fuel flow is nothing short of unbelievable! What RPM were you running - and did you try more ff?...

Re: ForcedAeroMotive: SuperCharged DA40

I was fortunate enough to score a ride in Brock's SuperCharged DA40 today. I must say I was very impressed with the climb rates available at altitude. On a moderately warm day, and without trying particularly hard, we were seeing 600fpm at 12,000' on 12.6 GPH and 83 KIAS. Cruise performance was also...

Yes there is. It may be in a different location depending on if you have a 24V or 12V outlet. See this thread for some more info.

Re: Autologin function

It seems to work for me *if* I use a bookmark that takes me directly to: https://www.diamondaviators.net/forum/

If I go to the home page and then go into the forum, it seems to lose my login and I have to re-enter it. YMMV.

Re: Kitchener Ontario CYKF question

If I recall correctly, the Nav Canada enroute and terminal charges aren't applied for small aircraft such as ours, but the $17/quarter fees are. If the other fees do apply, then they must be pretty negligible. There are also daily fees ($10 or so) if you fly in/out of some of the larger airports.

Re: Kitchener Ontario CYKF question

I need to figure out what my ICAO equipment suffix should be. I've printed out the Garmin spreadsheet, just need to get into the detail of it. This other thread might help with that, though I think there were still some unanswered questions. I'm pretty sure I used FltPlan successfully to file IFR w...

The C4 specs look nice. It'll be interesting to see how it finally turns out. It appears that the initial flight happened just a couple of weeks ago.
