Re: Grass strips
We only landed once on a grass field, at Eggersdorf (EDCE) in Germany. It was a no event, though it was much more shaky than on a concrete airstrip. I got stuck once while taxiing our aircraft on the grass in front of our maintenance shop at EBZW in Belgium. The grass was wet and the wheels sank int...

Re: Additional forums
I am convinced that this is a good idea. Destination concerns are probably much different wether you fly in Europe or in the US. Re: Garmin G1000 with GFC700
I'm also working on a program to analyze a bunch of log files and look for trends over time, and also provide summary-type data for each flight, recognizing climb, cruise, and descent phases, but it's not quite ready yet. I am not a programmer, so, I don't even think of developing a tool for that. ...

With that panel it looks more like a basic trainer than a travel plane. I don't even see engine monitoring instruments. 270H TTAF and 3H Engine and Prop. What happened? We paid less for our 2004 600H TTSN DA40 180 G1000 KAP 140 AP. Of course avgas is more expensive but we still believe we made the b...

Re: World's shortest runway with commercial activity
When I'm alone with little fuel, I land on a very short distance: from the numbers (24) to the first taxi left at home base EBST (you can check on google earth). I'll try to measure the distance some time. (But I know I have 2000 ft of concrete ahead !). I believe a Pilatus Porter would be ideal for...
