Re: California to Carolina - Part 3: Starting back West
Wayne, I enjoyed watching your video! I was like "Wait, is this the runway?!" when you are landing at KTDW. Though the runway condition looks horrible and the marking is almost completely faded, it's funny they have a beautiful terminal building  Tosh, right! I'm hoping someone on on...

Re: Interested in a Powered LEMO Adapter?
Turns out I can’t use the LiPo case in my DA62 because it injects a squeal when the LEMO jack powers on. That's not just a LIghtspeed or Diamond issue. I tried a Bose A20 with dual plugs going through a LEMO adapter (to an Epic E1000 that has only LEMO jacks), and it also injected a squeal. When I ...

Re: Air intake vent tape
My few of my data points on vent tape: (1) before the Brett nose gear fin, I taped the bottom NACA vents, did some measurements, and liked the results . (2) after the Brett fin, I had a noticeable (but not terrible) increase in whine from the pilot vent. (3) I moved the glider tape on the pilot side...

Re: A very big deal -- FAA Approves G100UL for ALL GA piston spark-ignition aircraft
This doesn't affect me, but how do they enforce the need for the STC? Honor system? Russ, I don't directly know the answer wrt enforcement. I recently purchased the Swift Fuels UL94 STC and yesterday had it "installed" by my A&P. All "install" means is my A&P filed some ...
