Thank you all for your feedback. Our TC was replaced in 2009 by a brushless motor TC (certified for replacement). I was hoping it would hold longer than the old one but... Hello, I flew to Corsica last WE. Tremendous trip in blue sky ! On the last leg (LFLS-EBST, see reports), I was in calm air at FL105, the KAP 140 started to swing left to right in a 2 Hz regular cycle. No matter how you cut it, less horsepower with same weight or more weight with same horsepower, the outcome is not good and that is what you have in every instance I can think of when an airplane goes diesel. You cannot escape the weight penalty vs. power provided with a diesel. From my perspective...

The 888 pounds useful load results from an increased MTOW : 1280 Kg instead off 1200 Kg for a IO-360 model.
