Intermittent AHRS fail

Just recently we started having failures of the AHRS with a Corresponding attitude and heading fail.. It will last anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes.. Has anyone experienced this? Wondering if it could be a connection issue or more likely the box is on its way out? Thanks in advance

Re: Sideslip

Just make sure the wing is down in the direction of turn, which is a slip. If the wing is down away from the direction of the turn, that is a skid.. If you were to stall in a slip the airplane will go back towards wings level.. if you stall in a skid, you will flip upside down! The plane will roll i...

Here is a pretty nice one! These airplanes are truly great. They are very reliable and you will virtually cut your engine maintenance to a fraction of that on a high performance piston engine. You don't even have to change the oil! https://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/147192339/197...

Re: New Cirrus Trainer

You can make fun of the landing gear switch, but it teaches a flow for the landing and allows them to take a Commercial ticket checkride, and they will probably move on to a complex twin from there. No they can't - retractable gear and variable prop pitch is required. Not true.. the FAA has dropped...

Re: Just got my DA40! What should I do??

I just bought my own 2004 DA-40 so I don’t know anything but here’s what I just bought.. New 2 blade Hartzell prop so I could install the Powerflow exhaust.. my opinion only but don’t waste the money on WASS. You can still shoot GPS approaches and of course ILS is gonna be around for a long time.. ...

Re: What tug to get?

I use the Best Tugs (https://www.besttugs.com/pages/bravo-tug-line) and can move the plane in and out of extremely tight spaces with the wheel pant on. Its not the cheapest one out there but its one of the best investments I have made in owning the airplane next to purchasing a hanger. Also the sup...

What tug to get?

I researched the forums but it wasn’t conclusive.. We have a tight fit hanger and the tow bar is horrible when pushing. What is the best electric tow bar/pusher for a DA-40?

Re: Cable Rollers

WASS is overrated.. the only approach you won’t be able to do is an LPV. Don’t even worry about that, you will be able to do all the rest and all the rest are plenty
