I think I am looking at an engine fuel pump replacement eventually but this one is only 250 hrs old. Mechanic had to adjust the low pressure output and now it runs like a charm. Fingers crossed. So frustrating because this is an overhaul and it should just run.. anyway, I’ll keep you guys updated an...

Engine quits with rapid power movement
I have a 2001 DA-20 with the IO-240. Apparently, last night while doing a touch and go the engine quit when the power was pushed up.. I have read of the issue before but the instructor said the engine quit another time on final when they advanced the power to correct for glideslope. Any ideas? This ...

Hey guys, so I am having the same problem in my DA-20 with the low pressure.. Have tried two gauges and both do the same thing.. measured the pressure and it is reading 20 low on the gauge.. I know this thread is old but did you ever figure out what the problem was?

At that weight and 60kts try pulling the power earlier to avoid the float

The quickest way to never have a shot at this plane is to offer them 25K. Even if it needs an engine, that’s like 24K installed.. The plane is worth between 65-75 with a new engine.

GDL-82 is what I’m doing but I am in the US. I think it’s around $1800

I had this happen on a Hartzell.. It’s either the seal or the hub typically.. If it was just overserviced with grease it would stop after a flight or two.. Such a PITA!
