Re: Sold my DA40, cleaning out my hangar

I probably should have followed up - I posted the list of things I am getting rid of here in this post (in the Marketplace / For Sale forum). I have been removing the things that are already gone, so whatever is left in the list is still available - feel free to ask!

Battery Minder For Sale

I have sold my DA40 and still have a fairly new Battery Minder I would like to unload - make me an offer. PM me if you are interested, or if you want more information.

The Battery Minder is model 244CEC1-AA-S5 – specifically for the Concord RG24-15M. I also have the bracket and connectors for ...

Sold my DA40, cleaning out my hangar

After many years of aircraft ownership, I have sold my current DA40 and no longer own an airplane. I don't plan to stop flying any time soon, I will just rent for a while. My missions have changed and I'm no longer flying enough to justify having such a nice airplane just sitting in a hangar 99.9 ...

Re: CHT sensor validation

With all the fixation on readings that are just 20 degrees LOP or whatever, it seems like being off just a small amount matters, so it would be good to know. For LOP operation, you are looking at the change in EGT instead of the absolute CHT - and the actual EGT values are pretty irrelevant anyway ...

Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped

I ended up ordering my spring from Premier Aircraft in Florida - it was $18 total including shipping, etc. I ordered the part number I referenced above. But I have the electric pedals, so I think your part number is different for the manual pedals. You might try Premier - they could probably give ...

Re: AmSafe airbag woes

I am always on the lookout for a used pair of OEM DA40 front seat belts to have on hand just in case I ever need to swap them. ;)

Re: AmSafe airbag woes

In my case, we kept the nice padded belts but pulled out the inflators and all of the electronics under the seats and now we just have ... padded seatbelts with no more maintenance required. I'm perfectly happy with this outcome and was also tired of waiting for parts - not to mention the annoying ...

Re: Spare G1000 Range Knob?

The original knob also had a metal ring inside. Chances are it is still on the shaft and you just didn't notice it. You will need to remove it from the shaft before you can install the new knob!

I completely missed that you have a DA62, not a DA40, so you may not find it as informative as I originally thought...
