New Nose Wheel Fin

I am finally in production of the new nose wheel fin for the 2004 and newer DA40's. We are running production through the weekend and will be ready to start shipping on monday. Anyone that would like one message me.

Re: Corked Nose Wheel

It has been a while since I have posted. I have the tooling finished for the newer model front wheel pant and will start producing the fins like the ones for the earlier pants I did a few years ago. I will update in a week or so when I have the fins stocked. Sorry this has taken so long to produce.

Re: Corked Nose Wheel

that is the standard nose wheel pant. I will make a fin for that fin if I can get one to laser scan. The rear of this fin is much slimmer than the earlier models and requires a redesign of the mounting lip. If you can part with your wheel pant for a few days I will scan your pant and return it to yo...

Re: Corked Nose Wheel

You could do that to test your plane. Every plane fly’s just a little different, so you might need a small amount of trim. My plane fly’s coordinated with the trim tab straight.

Re: Removing G1000 from a Da40?

Yes the aspen has gpss and does a great job. The kap just has a hard time on the glide slope on a rnav. On a ILS it works just fine. I use the kap140 in heading mode and aspen with gpss on until I am on the IAF and turned on the approach. Then I switch to approach on the kap140.

Re: Removing G1000 from a Da40?

As the pics show on my panel I have two aspens and a G5. I would not have had to have a backup like the G5 but I installed the aspens a few years ago and had the older software in the aspens. With the new pro max upgrade the FAA has ruled that the aspen 2000 and 2500 systems do not need a backup. Th...

Re: Removing G1000 from a Da40?

Here is my panel. I have never had a issue with aspens. the aspens are new pro max with SV and geo referenced charts. each aspen has its own ahars as well as the G5. I am replacing the audio panel and the 530 with GTN 750 and remote audio. If I could only replace the KAP 140 with garmin 500. I have ...

Re: Removing G1000 from a Da40?

I believe you can do that. My 2003 stem gauge now has aspen 2000 with SV garmin gdl 88 adsb in -out and waas 530/430. iam installing gtn750 and would love to replace the KAP 140. The auto pilot does a poor job on Rnav and ILS approaches but works great with the gpss in the Apen. We did use a 337 on ...
