Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

While the airplane is slippery, with planning, you can slow it to the 106kt gear and flap extension speed. Once you get it there, you'll feel a lot of drag kick in. When we were flying, I tended to start the slowing process too early. As I learned better how it performed, I got better at timing the ...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

I guess I should have clarified the chute portion. They were covering situations and how to handle them. If the engine quits and time allows, try restart procedures. If no restart, look for a good place to land, if none available, pull chute. If in IFR conditions and not sure of what's beneath you, ...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

We were cruising 175kts indicated at 7,000'. The picture attached shows 172, but it did go 175. You can see the other data listed there.

The wait time isn't so unusual, but I was initially promised delivery back in May 2021.

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

Well, I finally got the Panthera. It’s been a long road to get to this point. From June of 2020, when I gave my down money, until January of 2022 when I took flight. I was excited to place the order and looked forward to getting my new airplane in what was supposed to be less than a year to delivery...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

It looks good. Did Andy take you for a ride... I'm hoping to see it in person on Sunday.

Thanks,
Curt

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

Yes, the airplane has arrived (finally!!). I received a text on Tuesday that it was on its way to Inverness airport. I got a video this morning with the wings installed and the engine running on the ramp. I'm scheduled to travel to Florida on the 16th to start training on Monday. It's supposed to be...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

Well, like everything else, the delivery has been postponed (again). I received pictures of the airplane after they took off the wings and tail/elevator assemblies for shipping. It's supposed to be loaded into a container and leaving the factory today. The supply chain issues have affected this for ...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

Unfortunately, I only have about 400 hours, 25 of are in a retractable (multi-engine rating). The insurance company was looking for 1000 hours, of which they wanted 400 retractable. I do also have my instrument rating, one more thing they wanted to require. I don't have a formal outline, but I was t...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

It's my understanding after talking to Andy Chan, Right Rudder Aviation, and emailing the factory. The long relationship they had with Pipistrel USA, Michael Coates, has been terminated. Right Rudder Aviation has the exclusive rights for marketing the Panthera. All commissions and credit will be giv...

Fly-in or destination locator, resource

Hi, I'm looking for a site that you can go to and input a few search items, then return destinations to fly to. A few years ago, there was "Adventure Pilot". You could put in your starting airport identifier, a search radius, areas of interest ( restaurants, golf, hiking, biking, etc...), ...
